Mission Statement
The mission of the Center will be to
pursue both applied and theoretical research in the social sciences and
humanities, train students, provide service to the community as well as
public and private organizations at all levels and support the College and University
mission. The Center shall
pursue grants that are appropriate and also act to implement the
broader charge of the Center. The Center's overall charge will be
to:
1. Provide Research Support
 | Provide research and consulting services
to meet the research needs of public and private organizations. |

Support and encourage faculty in research. |

Connect academic research with contemporary problems in state
and local government. |

Analyze and report on public policy issues. |
 |
Pursue grants and other funded research. |

Work with other units doing research within the College |
and across campus to facilitate research in
the Social Sciences and Public Policy.

Provide administrative services to the College and other personnel conducting projects within the Center. |
